Ocean week

Over the last 8 days has been a fun set of events that centers around Cardiff School. How lucky for our children as well as the parents to enjoy the resource of living by-the-sea. My son and daughter are currently intrigued with "ocean animal art" along with creative ideas that adults know are not reality.
I'm so happy to see them dream and believe in mermaids as well as riding dolphins while reading!

Famed 'boat' house open for public tours

ENCINITAS ---- People who have long wondered whether the city's beloved "boat" houses look as nautical on the inside as they do on the outside will have a chance to find out Saturday. For one day only, and for perhaps for the first time in the city's history, one of the two "boats" is open for public tours. S.S. Moonlight tours; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Cost: $10 per person, or $20 per family. By BARBARA HENRY To continue reading at the North County Times.

A bit pricey for viewing a vacant rental, but it's not everyday you can view such a different type of living quarters.Bookmark and Share

Free Flowers, Cardiff

Shaun, a local resident and father has been donating free bouquets to all who are willing to stop on San Elijo Ave over the last 3 days.

A few of his other endeavors include wholesaling Agave drought resistant plants and recycling living plants from cluttered yards to new owners with some of the proceeds going to Cardiff School District. If you want to contact Shaun, want2tow@gmail.com or 760-707-7869

Thanks for the beautiful bouquet, it looks great!
